MAPS Foundation
The MAPS Foundation is a non-profit organization with the purpose of developing, assuring quality, promoting, disseminating and informing about the Monitoring Area and Phase System (MAPS). The MAPS foundation also provides information of the trans-theoretical model of change and other related tools and methods.

Monitoring Area and Phase System
MAPS is a multidimensional model with the main focus on the client. It describes both the unit and the client from the client’s perspective leading to a higher involvement of the client in both the treatment and the change process. The care for the client is further strengthened by integrating clinical expertise and processes such as communication skills and treatment planning with research instruments and methods. MAPS is currently used by a variety of care providers working in areas such as; social work, prison and probation, youth, elderly, addiction and psychiatric care.
